Duties and Responsibilities
· Reports to QC Manager and
QA/QC Coordinator.
· Carry out visual inspection
of paint / coatings.
· Conduct coating inspection
on piping works and structural members. Visual inspection of surface
preparation. Check salt contamination, dew point, humidity and substrate
temperature prior to and while blasting and painting work are going on. Conduct
surface profile check on blasted substrates, wet and dry film thickness check
on going painting works, adhesion test, holiday test on coating, and wrapping
as required by client and evaluation/ qualification

Inspect all paint material and abrasive and ensure
compliance with the requirements `of company
· Record and
compile all Blasting / Painting Documentation.
· Identification of defects
and implementation of repair procedure
· Enforcement and
verification of work performed in accordance with specification, manufacturer
recommendations , project quality control procedure and Safety procedure
· Maintain daily records of
area painted, quantity of paint consumed, number of coats applied, thickness
achieved, drying time taken, number of painters engaged, safety precautions
maintained by painters(as specified in the contract),area released for painting
by the End user.

Survey and evaluate the coating condition at
various area, vessel, tanks, pipe works and structure and issue related
inspection reports. Attend joint site inspection of certain areas an project
handover site inspection prior to handover
· Carry out coating thickness
in every stage of operation and trouble shooting of paint defects and giving
rectification.
· Color coding activities
& Punch Clearing
· Monitoring of equipment and
application of paint.
· Strong theoretical and
practical assessment skills
· Computer literate and
experienced in using MS Software as well as being capable of Excel Applications
